Did you know that the average American only gets half the amount of seafood he or she should consume, based on the USDA’s recommendation to eat seafood at least 2x/week? I didn’t, until recently. We haven’t been consuming that much seafood and we’re making a goal to change that. With Gorton Seafood, they are encouraging “It’s Seafood Time” and their healthy focused goal is to get their shoppers who are looking to eat healthy and save money to consider cooking 2 seafood meals with Gorton’s for their families every week! I sat down with a pen and paper and my imagination and got to work on how I can incorporate more seafood with the pickiest of eaters (Theodore).
Here some ideas on how to incorporate at least 2 meals a week for the kiddos:
- Swap out chicken nuggets for Gorton Seafood Crunchy Breaded Fish Sticks instead (serve up with ketchup or fry sauce- the kids just love it!)
- Cut into small pieces and toss on salad with ranch. Just the way my kiddos love to eat it too!
- Cut into small pieces and scramble into eggs in the morning. I dunno what it is, but it does it in our household.
Momma, you will be patting yourself on the back after this. I promise you. My pickiest of eaters (AHEM, THEODORE!) will eat these meals above too! WHAT?
And even better, your family will get your 2x servings a week! And make sure to grab some @gortonsseafood at your local @krogerco next time you’re grocery shopping. #ItsSeafoodTime #sponsored
